Design Story
I like to bring a design story to life by embracing a vision through concept, color and texture. Layering in contemporary and bespoke elements creates an inspired environment that is enlightening and empowering. In the lives of my clients I see an evolving need for places that serve multi-purpose living. By giving consideration to entertaining, living and, often, working, what comes out of my creativity and collaboration are spaces that strike a balance of playfulness and sophistication.
Empower your spirit, transform your space!
Who I am
Growing up in the Canadian Rocky Mountains was a true adventure. More adventurous, however, was watching my parents (both serial renovators) apply their craft. Building, painting, sewing and designing was a constant presence in my life. My home became a museum of innovative art and design projects.
I loved seeing their various projects evolved and at the age of 10, while they were moving through projects, I began drawing architectural floor plans and experimenting with my own design.
During this period I discovered Figure Skating. The next 10 years were spent training, testing and competing. I loved the combination of athleticism and artistry the sport offered me. Following a fulfilling amateur career I left Canada and staring touring as a Professional Ice Show skater. I travelled throughout Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Mexico, and North America performing in multiple shows. I embraced the transformative cultures, art and architecture I experienced in a manner that influenced my imagination. The shows themselves were a feast of design bringing stories to life through their theatrical sets and costuming. The world had become my muse!
Leaving the world of performing behind, I arrived in San Francisco. During this time I worked with San Francisco Opera, surrounded by stunning visuals, designs and performances. At the same time I studied at San Francisco State University creating my own Special Major blending Business, Fine Art, and Theatrical Design.
Chelsea, New York is my current home! Attending classes at The New York School of Interior Design has been a highlight for me. It has helped me streamline my focus on the elements of design principals and style as an Interior Designer.
New York City is my newest muse and I am grateful to explore it everyday!
